This year Torbay has been awarded no less than 16 awards for it's beaches, making it the clean beach capital of the England!

Blue flags will be flying at 6 of Torbay's Beaches including Broadsands, Paignton, Preston, Meadfoot, Oddicombe & Breakwater, with another 10 Quality Coast Awards for being clean and safe at Goodrington, Torre Abbey, Anstley Cove, Maidencombe, Breakwater, Paignton, Preston, Meadfoot, Oddicombe and Broadsands.

The awards have been announced by the Keep Britain Tidy anti-litter charity and follow last summer's bathing water tests by the Environment Agency.
